Bill Brown joined Halpern Enterprises in October of 2008 as President. He began his real estate career in 1987 with New Market Development, which later became part of Cousins Properties. During this time Bill worked in Finance, Project Management and manager of the Leasing Department. In 1994 Bill joined Merchants Resource Realty, Inc as President where he managed tenant and landlord representative brokers. Tenants represented included Target, Office Max, Babies R Us, PETsMART among numerous others. Landlords represented included Thomas Enterprises, Inc., Kim King & Associates and Abernathy/Timberlake. Later Bill became full time at Thomas Enterprises, where he was responsible for site selection, pre-development and managing the Leasing Department. In 1998 Bill co-founded Forum Development Group, LLC while at Thomas Enterprises. At Forum, responsibilities included day to day operations and oversight of the Development Department. Over a ten year period, he was active in the initial Forum developments as well as the development of numerous power centers representing over 12 million square feet.
He graduated from Washington & Lee in 1985 with a B.A. in Economics. He is an active member of ICSC and the Urban Land Institute. In 1998, 1999 and 2001, Bill was honored as Top Retail Broker in Metro Atlanta. Bill is the Finance Chair of the Mount Bethel Christian Academy Board of Trustees. Other interests include golf, skiing and spending time with his family including his wife and four daughters.
